Robson Square is a landmark civic centre and public plaza of modernist concrete, located in Downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. It is the site of the Provincial Law Courts, UBC Robson Square, government office buildings, and public space connecting the newer development to the Vancouver Art Gallery.
The Interlink conference moved locations this year to make things more central and for easier access. With school out for the summer, we’ll have the bottom floor all to ourselves, and snacks, drinks and a home-made packed lunch will be provided. Wireless internet will be available and power stations will be set up for you to charge your various devices.
Elevator access is available on Hornby Street (off of Robson Street) for all levels of accessibility, allowing a connection from the campus to street and parking levels.
Directions
The main entrance to UBC Robson Square is located on the lower level of the Outdoor Plaza near the ice rink. Also, access is available via the elevator/stair entryway on Hornby Street just off Robson Street. Due to construction, the south stairs to the lower Outdoor Plaza are currently closed.
All downtown buses stop within blocks of UBC Robson Square, but the closest bus stop can be found just off the corner of Robson and Howe Streets. The Burrard and Granville SkyTrain stations are located within three blocks of the campus. If you are taking the SeaBus from the North Shore you may choose to walk the seven blocks to campus or catch the SkyTrain to Burrard or Granville Stations. Visit the Translink web site to plan your route.
If you’re going to attempt driving, once in the downtown core, turn south on Howe Street, which is a one-way street. Enter Robson Square’s underground parking off of Howe Street at the corner of Nelson Street and follow the signs to UBC Robson Square. Hourly parking charges apply ($3.75/hr weekdays, $16.00 maximum weekday rate, $5.00 evening flat rate and $4.50 all day weekends). Visit the Impark web site for information on payment methods, monthly rates and parking regulations. There is also limited, metered street parking on Howe, Hornby and Georgia Streets.
